Wine in Texas

Wine is a hot commodity. In the last few years I’ve lived in Austin, I have seen no nightlife uption expand more than the Austin wine bar scene. If you venture downtown on any given night, you can choose from no less than 8 options for bars exclusively devoted to drinking wine.
The vineyards around the Texas Hill Country continue to improve each year. Each year, my wine club, The Austin Winos, takes a trip around the hill country, and I’m often pleasurably surprised by how each vineyard expands it’s selections.
What follows is a listing of one man’s opinion on the various wine drinking spots in Austin and throughout the Hill Country.
